Technical principle

 

This technology uses high-energy ultraviolet beam to decompose oxygen molecules in the air to produce free oxygen, i.e. active oxygen. Due to the imbalance of positive and negative electrons carried by free oxygen, it needs to combine with oxygen molecules to produce ozone. The oxidation ability of ozone and the highly active ionic oxygen (hydroxyl radical) produced by ozone under ultraviolet irradiation can convert the malodorous substances into simple inorganic substances such as carbon dioxide, water, sulfuric acid, nitric acid and so on, so as to achieve the purpose of purifying waste gas. The reaction process is an advanced oxidation process under the synergistic effect of high-energy ultraviolet radiation and ozone.

 

 

The oxidation potential (2.8ev) of active free radical · Oh is 35% higher than that of ozone (2.07). Therefore, the reaction rate of hydroxyl radical with organic matter is several orders of magnitude higher than that of ozone The reaction is non selective and can initiate chain reaction. Therefore, the malodorous substances can not only be directly oxidized by ozone, but also be oxidized by hydroxyl radicals which are the products of ozone decomposition, and the latter is dominant under the action of ultraviolet light.
